Definition of Perilous- (Full of Peril and Danger, Corrupt.)
II Tim. 3:1-13-
The Apostle Paul tells the young preacher Timothy that in the “Last Days” dangerous times, will come, The Last Days (Gospel Age).
A. V.2 – Men shall be lovers of their own selves. (Lust) (Desires)
1. The danger of same sex marriages, Rom. 1:24-28 also those who endorse and uphold t them. Rom. 1:32
2. Homosexuality is an abomination (against the will of God) Lev. 17:22-26
A. The Bible teaches that sex is assigned at BIRTH. Jer. 1:5, Ps. 139: 14-16.
B. The word “transgender” - We are speaking of someone who has changed their God given gender; to dress or act as the opposite sex. Some have went past playing dress up and had sex changes, which is an abomination.
C. God created the woman for a companion and help meet for man, God never intended for two men or two women to cohabit. Gen. 2:18:25
V2- Covetous – (Selfish, “What’s in it for me?” Phil 2:4
A. Boasters- (Braggers)
B. Proud – (Uppity)
C. Blasphemers- (Breaking the Laws of God)
D. Disobedient to your parents. (Eph. 6:1-4, Col. 3:20-21)
E. Unthankful - (Thinking the world owes them something.)
F. Unholy – (Loving a Life Separate and Apart from GOD)
V3- Without Natural Affection:
A. Without Love or Affection, Thousands of children are aborted each year. Law makers have passed laws to give the right to murder the innocent.
1. Made in the image of God. Gen. 1:27
2. God will require blood for blood. Gen 9:5-6- Ex. 21: 22-25
3. Not to kill the innocent – Ex. 23:7
“Wo to those who shed innocent blood!”
B. Trucebreakers (Untrust Worthy)
C. False accusers- (Liars)
D. Incontinent – (Never Satisfied)
E. Despisers of those that are good. (Evil Walkers)
V4- A. Traitors – (Turn Coats)
V5- Having a form of Godliness but denying the power. (Some claim to serve God and claim to be Christians but live in a “Fashion that says otherwise. They want to have it their own way, what’s pleasing to them, not worrying about pleasing GOD) From such, turn away and not have fellowship!
V6- Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the TRUTH.
1. Will not take time or make self-sacrifice to learn GOD’s word or his will for man.
Conclusion:
Friends we live in perilous times, let us teach our children and our children’s children and everyone who will hear so they can teach those thereafter! Don’t let society set the standard, that’s the reason we are in such a shape today. Look to God’s Word for Hope and Help.
